Membership Benefits
Becoming a brother of Triangle has many benefits. It provides men with lifelong friendships through brotherhood, leadership opportunities, scholarships, academic support, social opportunities, community service and philanthropy opportunities, a chapter home, and much, much more.
Brotherhood.
Brotherhood is one of the fraternity’s greatest strengths. It is the bonding of men of various backgrounds, beliefs, and places guided by common values and ideals.
Leadership Opportunities.
Triangle provides its members with many leadership opportunities, some of which are in the form of leadership development schools and workshops for our men, including:
Herbert F. Scobie Leadership School
Steven L. Miller Presidents Leadership Academy
Drive Recruitment Symposium
John Wakerly Leadership Advantage Program
American Leadership Academy
UIFI (Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute)
In addition to these schools and workshops, there are a many leadership positions offered at the local level for our members to take advantage of and learn from.
Networking.
Triangle offers a vast network of graduated Engineers, Architects and Scientists. This is important when looking for jobs and internships because knowing someone to get the job is just as important as knowing the material for the job.
Scholarship.
Penn State Triangle annually offers its members about $20,000 in possible scholarships. In addition to local level scholarships, the National level fraternity offers over $50,000 in awards annually. Please see our scholarship page for more info.
Academic Support
Due to our exclusivity to technical majors in engineering, science, and architecture, our classes tend to be very similar, if not the same, to other Brothers in the chapter. There are many times where Brothers are will be taking classes together, fostering group study sessions, note taking, and reviewing any class materials. In addition, there is a wealth of knowledge available to younger members from our juniors and seniors who have previously taken courses.
Social Opportunities
Academics are very important to the future of all students, but people need to grow socially as well as academically. College is the perfect time for this. As a member of Triangle, you will have the opportunity to meet new people through service events, philanthropies, social events, academics, and many other opportunities that arise.
Community Service and Philanthropy
Community service and philanthropy is a very strong part of Greek Life and organizations. As a Triangle Brother, you will have the opportunity to take part in homecoming events, THON, fundraisers for Habitat for Humanity (our National Philanthropy), and many other events that occur during the year.

Chapter Home
The chapter home is a members home away from home. Great pride is taken in the upkeep of our home. This is a great place to hang out at and relax. It is a great perk because it is much more spacious than dorms and apartments and it features amenities like a poolroom, commercial kitchen, fireplace, study room with computers and printers, and a great sound system in the living room for music and movies. It also features a 120 inch projector screen used for watching sports, TV shows, movies, and even playing video games on.
