Summer 2024 Triangle Alumni Reunion & Work Party
During the 2024 Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts we will hold two short (4 hour) work parties. One on Friday July 12th and one on Saturday July 13th. The remaining time will be attending a Creamery Ice Cream Social, enjoying the Arts Festival, a Golf Outing or a trip to Penn’s Cave. Maybe, an IggyFest at Iggy’s house in State College (still in planning).
The project(s) have not been identified.
All materials and tools will be available on-site.
Catered Lunch on Friday & Saturday will be provided by the PSU Triangle Alumni Organization.
This opportunity is open to undergraduates who want to make the trip to Penn State from their demanding summer job. But, we’d very much appreciate it if you could make it.
We reserved two small blocks of hotel rooms at the Hilton Scholar Inn 205 East Beaver Avenue, State College, PA and The Hampton Inn & Suites State College at Williamsburg Square. The rate is $150.00/night.
Rooms will be available at the house.

Summer 2023 Triangle Alumni Reunion & Work Party
Many alumni over the past three years have stated they would like to pitch in with the house refurbishment if given enough advance notice. This is your chance. Fortunately we are running out of projects. But we have a few smaller projects on the docket.
During the 2023 Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts we will hold two short (4 hour) work parties. Please note, these work parties are optional. One on Friday July 14th and one on Saturday July 15th. The remaining time will be attending a Creamery Ice Cream Social, enjoying the Arts Festival, attending John & Michelle Groenveld’s afternoon party, a Golf Outing or a trip to Penn’s Cave.
The projects include painting the 3rd floor bathroom (final act of 3rd floor bathroom refurbishment), painting the hand rails in both stairwells, replacing the baseboard heater in the first floor women’s room and whatever else the house manager can come up with.
All materials and tools will be available on-site.
Catered Lunch on Friday & Saturday will be provided by the PSU Triangle Alumni Organization. Again, work at the work party is optional. Lunch will be provided for all workers, supervisors, critics and foremen. This opportunity is open to undergraduates who want to make the trip to Penn State from their demanding summer job, with likely no vacation leave available. But, we’d very much appreciate it if you could make it.
We reserved a block of hotel rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1221 East College Avenue, State College, PA. 814-272-121 (phone). The rate is $228.00/night. If interested and would like to reserve a hotel room or if you have questions, contact Brother Michael Golden, mjgolden3@earthlink.net or 908-902-0042 (cell). We want a head count a soon as possible. Let Brother Golden know by June 15th if you plan to attend. A simple "I'll be there or we'll be there or count us in" is good enough. We have to release any unused hotel rooms by June 30th.

GivingTuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global celebration of generosity. At Penn State, it's a
day made for celebrating the We Are spirit. For six years, students, alumni,
faculty, staff, friends, and fans have come together to demonstrate a shared
belief in the aspirations of Penn State students and a pride in the
accomplishments that put our University community on the map. Last year,
more than 10,000 gifts were made to raise over $1 million in less than
48-hours-support that not only encouraged student efforts across the
Commonwealth, but also helped to provide a foundation for Penn Staters to
stay in pursuit of their dreams through unexpected challenges.
On November 30, Penn State's seventh Giving Tuesday will be an opportunity to
remind our PSU Triangle younger brothers, current undergraduate students,
that they are a part of a brotherhood that believes in their potential. See
the attached form.

GOLD Match Details
For Penn State Graduates of the Last Decade-our GOLD alumni-there is a way
to make GivingTuesday support go twice as far. Any gift made by a GOLD Penn
Stater to a GivingTuesday campaign will be matched 1:1 by the University up
to $100! Note that GOLD is defined by the years that follow one's most
recent Penn State degree.
Future Donor Match Details
New for 2021, any first-time alumni donors to the University, including the
Triangle Academic Excellence Endowment Fund, who make a gift of at least $25
to a GivingTuesday campaign will have their contribution boosted with an
additional $25 from the Peter Weiler Family Endowment in Advancement and
Philanthropy!
