Br. Douglas Glantz (ps69) was a distinguished member of the Penn State Chapter of Triangle who entered Chapter Eternal on September 16, 2019. His Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering was just the first of a long list of credentials which Br. Glantz earned during his career, which included a Juris Doctor from Temple University. As a legal professional, Br. Glantz practiced law before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as the U.S. Supreme Court. As a pilot, Br. Glantz served for more than a decade in the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, and the Patient Air Lift Services; additionally, he earned numerous awards including the Award for Outstanding Service during Hurricane Katrina.

With respect to the Penn State chapter, Br. Glantz served many years in his official capacity as Legal Advisor and offered his support in many other ways. Recently. Br. Glantz’s estate provided the chapter with a large endowment in the hopes of rewarding and encouraging future leaders.

In recognition of Br. Glantz’s contributions to the chapter, we have introduced the Civil Air Patrol Scholarship in his memory. This award provides up to $500 of financial support every semester to Triangle brothers who are Civil Air Patrol cadets or senior members. The $500 is split evenly amongst all eligible applicants.
