Joseph E. Gantz Navy / Marine Corps Service Scholarship
Br. Joseph Eugene Gantz (ps55) was a distinguished member of the Penn State Chapter of Triangle Fraternity. During his time at Penn State, Br. Gantz attained a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Metallurgy. Building on this foundation, Br. Gantz led a successful 30-year career with US Steel in various management positions, and also with Chamalloy Chemical Corporation as both a supervisor and a consultant. Prior to his time in industry, Br. Gantz served his country as part of the United States Navy.
In recognition of Br. Gantz’s contributions to the chapter, we have renamed the Navy / Marine Corps Service Scholarship in his memory. This award provides up to $500 of financial support every Spring to Triangle brothers who are Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) midshipmen, Navy/Marine Corps reservists, and honorably discharged sailors and marines. The $500 is split evenly amongst all eligible applicants.
