New Member Move-In Reimbursement

Picture Needed

To offset costs involved with registering a new member and with implementing programs geared towards recruitment, the Penn State Chapter of Triangle charges new members a $350 fee upon joining the organization. This is standard practice among Greek organizations.

Objective

Our chapter refunds this fee to new members who sign a housing contract beginning the semester following their initiation. This is a special, one-time incentive to promote living in the fraternity house. Triangle’s Code of Ethics includes an obligation to “Help create in my chapter home an environment in which enduring friendships may be formed.” We believe that living in the fraternity home is the best way to experience Triangle at its fullest. The $350 is not paid out but is deducted from the first semester’s rent by the Alumni Executive Board.
