Most of the chapter’s scholarships are intended to be awarded to active members of the chapter. However, the STEAM (STEM + Architecture) scholarship is different, and is targeted towards members of the entire Penn State University Park community.
Objective
The Penn State Chapter of Triangle Fraternity is proud to present the STEAM (STEM+Architecture) Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes students that exemplify a strong balance between academic performance, leadership experience, and community involvement. All eligible men and women at Penn State University Park are welcome to apply.
Applicant Criteria
Students applying for this scholarship shall be eligible by meeting the following requirements:
Must be enrolled with Penn State University Park as a full-time student in a STEM or architecture major. A list including some of the majors can be found on the PSU Triangle website.
GPA ≥3.0 (if no university GPA is available, the candidate’s high school GPA must be ≥3.0/4.0).
Must be one of these types of student (as defined by Penn State):
A First-Year Student; i.e., a student who was a high-school student during the last school year (Fall-Spring).
A Second-Year Student; i.e., a student who was a First-Year Student during the last school year (Fall-Spring).
A Transfer Student enrolled in your first year at Penn State University Park.
Schedule and attend a brief interview (15 minutes) with the Scholarship Committee via teleconference.
